Civil Engineer

eda engineers-surveyors-planners, inc. is in search of a Civil Engineer for its office in Gainesville, FL. Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 5 years of experience and be a registered P.E. in the State of Florida. This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

This position deals with site planning, stormwater analysis and design and use of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Individual should be detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities will include preparing designs and reports, project management and analysis. Should be familiar with codes and requirements and be able to interact with clients and agencies. Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Landscape Architect / Project Manager

eda engineers-surveyors-planners, inc. is in search of a Landscape Architect/Project Manager for its office in Gainesville, FL. Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture with 5 years of experience in landscape design and permitting for private land development and government projects, registration as a Landscape Architect in the State of Florida, proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design programs, and have excellent writing and organizational skills. This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The Project Manager position will oversee the design and production of all landscape plan drawings and related construction documents, permit materials, and presentation graphics.  The Project Manager will represent the company by working directly with clients and the public. Individual should be detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills, be familiar with codes and requirements, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred candidates will also have local experience in the field of landscape architecture, be proficient in microstation, LandFX, Adobe Creative Studio, and Sketch-up.

Project Designer

eda engineers-surveyors-planners, inc. is in search of an Engineering Designer for its office in Gainesville, FL.  Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and have an EIT certificate.  This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

This entry-level position deals with site planning, stormwater analysis and design and use of AutoCAD.  Applicant should be detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.  Responsibilities will include preparing designs and reports, and project analysis.  Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Civil 3D Designer

eda is looking for experienced AutoCAD/Civil 3D designers with a strong background in commercial and residential civil engineering and site construction, including but not limited to; grading methods and practices, parking lot and road design, utility infrastructure standards and design, subdivision lot layout, and storm water management practices.  Some knowledge of Civil 3D and 3D modeling of tin surfaces and pipe networks is a must, as well as the ability to conform to an established set of plan production workflows and CAD Standards, and adaptability to changing requirements within the production environment.  Interested candidates should possess strong personal time management ethics, capability to work on several projects at once, ability to provide accurate time budget estimates, and understanding of the importance of meeting established deadlines.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

Survey Crew Party Chief

eda engineers-surveyors-planners, inc. is looking to hire an experienced and motivated individual as party chief.  This position requires the ability to supervise a field crew in the use of total stations in the performance of construction staking, boundary and topographic surveys.  The individual must be experienced in keeping accurate and legible field notes; have the ability to interpret plans, maps, land descriptions and other related survey documents; and be able to perform calculations in the field.  The ability to use AutoCAD to perform calculations and/or as-built drawings is a plus.

Individual must have 3 years experience as a party chief, an excellent driving record and a valid Florida driver’s license. Pre-employment drug screens are performed prior to beginning work.

Survey Field Crew Personnel

eda engineers-surveyors-planners, inc. is in search of survey field crew personnel for its office in Gainesville, FL. Qualified candidates should have three years experience in all aspects of land surveying. This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

This position requires the applicant to have the ability to read and understand construction drawings, the ability to perform calculations for construction stakeout, perform boundary, topographic and tree surveys, accomplished at taking field notes, and is responsible for the survey vehicle and the day to day care of survey equipment. The applicant must have a valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record.
