Office Manager

eda consultants, inc. is seeking an Office Manager with a positive attitude and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This position manages multiple aspects of administrative functions including human resources and financial management to ensure the office operates efficiently and smoothly. The position also supports senior management with other administrative services such as contract administration and general corporate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Oversight:
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a high level of efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Update company policies as required to ensure legal compliance.
Staff Management:
  • Supervise other administrative staff, organize the firm-wide employee review process and maintain employee records.
  • Ensure proper protection of confidential personnel and corporate information.
Financial Support:
  • Manage biweekly payroll processing, maintain payroll records.
  • Assist with budget management, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
Administrative support:
  • Review new vendor contracts and handle service contracts for the office.

Accounting Manager

eda consultants inc. is seeking an accounting professional with a positive attitude and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This position handles daily tasks like data entry, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable. This position will prepare financial reports, reconcile bank statements, and maintain accurate financial records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Maintenance:
  • Entering financial transactions and data into accounting systems (Ajera software).
  • Maintaining organized and accurate financial records.
  • Ensure proper protection of confidential corporate information.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding invoices to make payment arrangements.
  • Maintain precise and organized records of incoming payments and financial transactions.
  • Monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
 Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
  • Prepare financial reports and statements including quarterly and year-end reports.

Civil 3D Designer

eda is hiring experienced AutoCAD/Civil 3D Designers for our Gainesville, Florida office. Our production team at our growing civil engineering practice needs enthusiastic drafters willing to jump in and contribute. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, able to work with minimal direction on multiple projects at once, and considers themselves a Civil3D expert.

In this role, you’ll use Civil 3D and AutoCAD to prepare site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility systems, and roadway corridors. Your day-to-day will include refining redline markups, assembling plan sets, modeling surfaces and pipe networks, and contributing to the technical accuracy of design deliverables.

This position offers the opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge and be part of a company with a strong local reputation and decades of experience in North Central Florida. You’ll work closely with engineers to produce high-quality construction documents for a wide range of civil site development projects—from residential subdivisions and commercial sites to municipal infrastructure and roadway improvements.

Qualified candidates should have some level of proficiency in:

Civil site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, roadway alignments, parking lots, utility layouts, and subdivision plans.

Local and state design standards, including familiarity with FDOT criteria and ability to conduct basic city/county zoning and code research.

AutoCAD, including efficient use of layer control, external references (Xrefs), annotation tools, layout setup, and Sheet Set Manager.

Civil 3D, including working with:

  • Surface creation and editing using TINs
  • Alignments and profiles
  • Assemblies and corridor modeling for roads
  • Pipe networks (storm, sanitary, water)
  • Grading tools and feature lines
  • Cross section generation and quantity takeoffs

Survey Field Crew Personnel

eda consultants, inc. is in search of a skilled & motivated surveyor to join our field crew team.  The ideal candidate would have at least two years of experience, be proficient at and productive with surveying instruments, capable of taking complete and legible field notes, be able to read and understand surveys, can perform calculations, and enjoy completing the field work associated with surveying & mapping.

At eda , Survey Field Crew Personnel perform the field work associated with boundary surveys, topographic surveys, tree surveys, and construction stakeout.  The successful candidate will use survey equipment such as total stations and data collectors daily.  This position also requires physical labor associated with field work, such as walking long distances, using shovels & machetes, and handling heavy objects (such as manhole lids).  The field crew is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of survey equipment and vehicles.
