Landscape Design Intern

eda consultants, inc. is in search of a part- or full-time Landscape Design Intern for its office in Gainesville, FL.  Our growing landscape architecture and urban planning practice needs enthusiastic designers willing to join the team.

Put your skills to work with the creation of illustrative maps, plans, and graphics that excite and bring projects to life.  While we may ask you to review the occasional zoning code or assist with a tree mitigation plan, know that your design skills have opportunities for a wide variety of project applications.

The most important characteristic of our intern is that you are a team player.   eda is a place for people willing to work in a collaborative environment, serving private and public clients, and being ready for a wide variety of tasks.

Preferred candidates will also have some experience in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.

Engineering Student Intern

eda is seeking students who are currently enrolled in a Civil, Environmental or Agricultural Engineering program to assist our Professional Engineers. Our interns work closely with the engineering team and interface with permitting agencies as needed to perform calculations, prepare designs, reports and plans, assist with construction services, go on site visits and being ready for a wide variety of tasks.

eda is a collaborative environment, serving private and public clients. We love candidates who are detail-oriented with great analytical/problem-solving skills and enthusiastic about learning. Candidates should be comfortable working independently with appropriate supervision as well as part of a team.

Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office with basic AutoCAD skills, strong communication abilities, and working towards a BS in Engineering.

Survey Crew Intern

eda is seeking individuals interested in pursuing a career in Geomatics to assist our survey crew. Our interns work closely with the team, performing varied survey tasks along side the field crew personnel. Both on site visits and in an office setting, you will learn about different types of surveys, construction stakeout, taking field notes, interpreting survey documents, and the day-to-day care of survey equipment.
