In Gainesville, Florida, extensive renovations were required to turn an old YMCA building into a new charter school. eda provided the civil engineering, land planning, and surveying services related to the design and permitting of this redevelopment project. A full set of engineering plans were prepared, showing all site improvements including building expansions, placement of modular buildings, parking lot modifications, and utility improvements.
eda served as the engineer of record for the preparation of the engineering plans and the project manager for the development plan application. In addition to filing for and receiving development plan approval, eda also processed a rezoning & land use change for the property in order to allow for construction of the proposed site improvements. This project was completed on-time and within budget.
