the brief
On the site of the old E.H. Miller Elementary School, this facility will serve students in grades 3-6. With an estimated project value of $60.2 million, the school will provide 1,055 student stations across 154,000 building square feet. Some exciting features include a state-of-the-art gymnasium along with collaborative learning spaces among the classrooms. This brand new school is currently under construction and slated to open in August 2026.

Engineering
- Full construction plans for engineering site design, including detailed utility plan and paving, grading, and drainage plan
- Obtained site design approval from Putnam County School Board
- Processed odifications to the existing Water Management District Permit for the site, including preparation of stormwater calculations demonstrating compliance with the master drainage system
- The presence of wetlands on site necessitated additional coordination with an Environmental Engineering consultant, and the site design was engineered specifically to avoid any wetland impacts
- Coordinated with Clay Electric Cooperative to incorporated their electric design into civil plans
- Permitted driveway connection to county road with Putnam County Public Works
Surveying
- Boundary and topographic survey with underground utility locations and wetland lines
Planning
- Prepared an application to rezone the subject property from Agriculture to Public Use, Light (P-1) in order to match the existing future land use designation of Public Facilities, involving presentations to and approval by the Planning Commission and County Commission
