eda provided due diligence, surveying, civil/site engineering design, and permitting services for the construction of Pressure Technology, Inc.’s (PTI) new manufacturing warehouse facility in Alachua, Florida. The project supports PTI’s expansion of hot isostatic pressing (HIP) services in the Southeast, providing local processing capacity for aerospace, space, medical, industrial, and additive manufacturing applications.
The approximately 12,000-square-foot facility includes dedicated office space and warehouse/maintenance areas, along with site improvements designed to accommodate deliveries and tractor-trailer access. Exterior improvements include parking and access drives, supporting safe and efficient circulation for employees and industrial deliveries.
A key feature of the building is a large in-ground manufacturing vessel pit measuring approximately 55 feet by 14 feet and extending roughly 24 feet deep to foundation level, along with multiple equipment trenches and utility infrastructure supporting hydrostatic pressing operations.

Engineering
- Developed full construction plans for complete civil design of the project and all associated site improvements, including utility and stormwater infrastructure
- Prepared and submitted a site plan application to City of Alachua, resulting in Planning & Zoning Board approval
- Designed stormwater conveyance system in compliance with master plan, receiving approval from Suwannee River Water Management District
- Provided construction administration services
Surveying
- Prepared a boundary survey with legal descriptions, splitting the project site into two separate parcels
- Prepared a detailed topographic survey of the subject property showing the locations of trees, above-ground improvements, and underground utilities
- Prepared legal sketches and descriptions for easements
Planning
- Performed due diligence and investigation of two potential properties for site selection process
