the brief
The facility contains 130,000 square feet of indoor space with 97,000 square feet of open space including a full indoor track & field facility with the ability to accommodate 18 volleyball courts or 10 high school regulation basketball courts for a wide range of athletic events. eda also designed and permitted an adjacent 68,000 SF, 5-story parking garage to accommodate spectators for the facility. The project is located within the master planned Celebration Pointe Transit Oriented Development. Due to the unique nature of this innovative private-public partnership project, there was significant coordination with various stakeholders required.

Engineering
- Full construction plans for engineering site design, including detailed utility plan and paving, grading, and drainage plan
- Modification to the existing St. Johns River Water Management District Individual Environmental Resource Permit for the site, including preparation of stormwater calculations demonstrating compliance with the master drainage system
- Prepared and submitted a final development plan application to Alachua County for approval by Development Review Committee
- Designed and permitted water and sewer services with GRU and incorporated GRU electric design into civil plans
