the brief
In 2019, underwent an $11 million expansion to its existing footprint of the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute on the UF Health campus north of downtown Jacksonville. The building expansion comprised approximately 10,000 sq. ft. over two floors and incorporated a new proton accelerator and gantry for additional patient treatments and extension of the existing patient corridor into the new expansion. The project also included parking lot modifications and rerouting of an existing JEA water main.

Engineering
- Prepared a feasibility study and due diligence services, with recommendations for site selection for the building expansion
- Prepared conceptual site plan and developed the Site Analysis portion of a Facility Program document for the UF Health Review process
- Developed full construction plans for engineering site design, including detailed utility plan and paving, grading, and drainage plan
- Designed and permitted water and sewer services with Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) and incorporated JEA electric design into civil plans
- Permitted a modification to the existing St. Johns River Water Management District Individual Environmental Resource Permit for the site
Surveying
- Prepared detailed topographic survey of the subject property and adjoining rights-of-way and parking lots showing the locations of trees, above-ground improvements, underground utilities, and the location, size, depth, and material type of all accessible sanitary and storm sewer inverts. The survey also included measurements and slope details of a creek running through the subject property.
