eda provided a range of surveying and civil engineering services for the Alachua County Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida. The facility contains 13,000 square feet of indoor space with 97,000 square feet of open space. eda engineers prepared construction plans for all proposed site improvements and permitted the project, providing coordination with Alachua County, Gainesville Regional Utilities, SJRWMD, and various other stakeholders. eda surveyors provided a detailed topographic and boundary survey of the subject area & located underground utilities in the adjacent rights-of-way. eda was involved at all stages of the project, from design through construction. eda‘s experience with Celebration Pointe TOD engineering and permitting provided unique expertise and background throughout the design process. Familiarity with the existing utilities and specific development criteria in the overall Celebration Pointe Preliminary Development Plan provided a strong foundation for this innovative Private-Public partnership.
