eda provided Alachua County with civil engineering and land surveying services associated with the relocation of the Alachua County Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections offices. This project included a building addition of approximately 15,800 square feet and significant site infrastructure upgrades, including utilities improvements, parking lot modifications, etc. As an infill redevelopment project, this site had many existing constraints that eda navigated successfully.
Civil engineering services for this project included the submittal of a development plan application to the City of Gainesville, which comprised final civil construction plans that incorporated all proposed site improvements related to utilities, parking lot areas, driveway access, stormwater retention areas, etc. eda obtained the necessary utility permits with Gainesville Regional Utilities and a stormwater permit with the St. Johns River Water Management District. eda also provided construction administration services.
